Public File
Each local commercial / community radio station in the UK including Radio Midlands has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels, music choices etc. These requirements are set out in the station “Format”, a document issued by Ofcom and also monitored by PRS & PPL (Our licencing regulator). This Public File contains details of the elements that are regulated, such as music tracks, local news etc. It is intended to give you a better understanding of our output and what we are doing for our local community.
News
Radio Midlands broadcasts news bulletins hourly between 06:00 & 20:00 7 day’s per week. These bulletins contain a mix of local, national and world news, alongside sport, weather and entertainment news.

Automated Programming:
As as station that is ran by volunteers, all of our live and pre-recorded shows are ran remotely, This involves a presenter connecting to our secure network and then using home applications to broadcast their stream.
Local Programming
As a proud local station over 60% of our programs are locally recording or presented live, the remaining shows are produced within the United Kingdom, All pre-recorded shows are checked prior to broadcast with checks in place for live broadcast.
